Dave mustaine kirk hammett5/30/2023 ![]() ![]() At the end of the day, my happiness and my family and my wife and my children are more important to me than anything in this world. So I know somebody saw that I wasn’t getting paid.” He continued: But Kirk got my royalties for ‘Metal Militia’ for many, many years. Mustaine was then asked if he received the royalties for the songs and if he was bitter about what happened nowadays and he replied: “Well, most of ’em, yea. All the solos on the first record are mine, except that they’re just performed by Kirk (Hammett). There’s parts of my music on a song on the third record. They used it on the first record, on the second record. “The thing that bothered me the most was I had all my music, and I left it behind and I said, ‘Don’t use my music.’ And of course they did. ![]() “I think in my mind I went right into Megadeth, but at the time I was still kind of trying to digest everything that took place. Dave Mustaine says he wasn’t happy when Metallica used his compositions In an interview with Joe Rogan (Transcribed by Blabbermouth), Mustaine revealed that he wasn’t happy when the Thrash Metal band used his compositions on their three first albums. ![]()

The borrowers afloat5/30/2023 ![]() Of course, you don't know until you know, and hey, these novels portray all the anti-borrower villains as horrid caricatures, not just the villains of one culture or another. Now, what I'm sure I wouldn't have known better about as a child are this book's uses of a term for a particular group of people-an old term that should fall out of use. Though I'm not sure how much I might have appreciated it as a child, I also like how there's just enough conjecture and ambiguity from the human characters reflecting on these "past" stories of borrowers, leaving readers to decide how much to believe. I enjoy the old-fashioned style of these classic tales as well as the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the borrowers. While I first read Books One and Two of this series back in my childhood, this was my first time reading Book Three. The little Clock family-Pod, Homily, and their teenaged daughter Arrietty-is thus uprooted once more to face a new adventure in The Borrowers Afloat by author Mary Norton. Being borrowers who quietly depend on the giant human beings around can be tough, including when the human beings pack up and move away, leaving nothing behind to.borrow. ![]()

High Moor by Graeme Reynolds5/30/2023 ![]() GR: It’s been very positive, on the whole. What reaction have you had from people who were fans of the first book? I’m not promising that I’ll ever get around to writing them, but I’ll probably do a few short stories in the High Moor universe to flesh things out a little more at the very least.ĪNDREW: Your second book Moonstruck is paced very differently from your first and has plenty of new characters. ![]() ![]() ![]() I’ve probably got enough material floating around in my mind to do another whole spin off series for each of the main characters, that deal with the years between part two and part three of the first book. When I started on Moonstruck, I’d decided that I was going to write a trilogy, but even then there are going to be elements that will only be hinted at or mentioned in passing. Then, as the book came together, and I started thinking through the back story, it became pretty obvious that one novel really wasn’t going to cover it. GR: Not to begin with, in fact I can remember a friend telling me that he didn’t think I had enough plot to even justify one novel, let alone a series. ![]()

![]() She notes that “a writer she admires has described sex as ‘indescribable’. Mary Rose brings a wearied hilarity to the unique agonies of full-time parenting. The 48-year-old Mary Rose has taken a break from her writing career to stay at home and take care of two young children.
